Default Big Lake 11 Sep 2010

Made a trip with Sweetie. Hit the South end first and picked up 10 specs and 1 sandy early, then the bit slowed around 8. Was heading north to hit a few more spots and got chased out by the rain. Stopped in Turner's to watch some birds sittin' on some Houston tap water (a little salty, a little green, clear enough to see the trolling motor turning), headed up the channel and picked up our limit of reds and quit at 11:30. Caught the big trout and about 5 others on pearl/chart jerk jr., the balance on live swimps. The reds were hitting the Calc Pt. live swimps hard! Water was choppy early then like glass as the day wore on. Winds were light, too. Dam fine day on the water; just needs to cool off a bit so I can take my dad and fadda-in-law...
