Dularge Fishing
Nice day on the DU! If you're not getting out and enjoying this great weather shame on you! Our plan today was to catch some nice reds early and chase trout the rest of the day. I fished with Greg Stock with Thibodaux Regional Hospital along with his son David and Patrick Bonneval. The tide threw us a curve this AM as it came in most of the morning as we were expecting a falling tide. The north winds blew out a lot of water yesterday and the rising tide ran much longer than it has been the past few days. We busted up some nice reds along with some puppy drum and finished up with a handful of trout. Nobody that we talked to today caught any big numbers of keeper trout as most are small and mixed in with pesky white trout. The trout 'catching' will improve in the weeks to come as the water temperatures continue to drop with each cold front. We're patiently waiting.... Good luck fishing.
