need some help on lighting

i am building a house and i have cathedral ceiling in my living room....well i was going to put recessed lights in 4 places and a ceiling fan on the beam...well i was told i shouldn't do the recessed lights on the side close to my roof cause if they ever went out i wouldn't be able to get to them cause of crawl space......so what do yall recommend. i want 4 lights just don't know what to do. do the can lights go out very often or is there something else i should put that would look good on these angled cielings?
