Default Big Lake 5/6 - slick

I can't believe there aren't at least 100 reports from yesterday, because there were at least 100 boats in Turner's alone.

Watched the sun come up with Bro-in-law and was ecstatic to find the lake slick. We decided to ditch the armada in Turners (despite birds everywhere) and headed to the east bank by ourselves. Fished for a couple of hourse and got on a nice little bite. Water clarity was awesome and finally saw some shrimp in the lake. Ended up with a few nice specs; biggest (the one on the left) was just under 4lbs caught on Catch 2000. Most of the others were caught on Sand Eels. Picked up a few reds as well.

Stopped fishing early so Bro could get to work. Went back in the evening with Dad-in-law and found the wind back with a vengeance. White caps everywhere. Decided to watch the sunset in L&G, and that was a good decision. Fish every cast. Mostly reds with a few specks mixed in. Finished the night with 2 limits of reds and several nice specks. Unfortunately, the iphone sucks at night photos, so no pics.

All-in-all, it sure beat a day of work. I'm so glad to be back in Louisiana.
