Boat Launch HWY 993 near White Castle

Does anyone know if the old boat landing on HWY 993 near White Castle is still open and accessible? I haven't been there in years. It's right in a sharp bend in the road. It launches into a canal that's only about 10 feet wide, then 5 miles straight into Bay Natchez. Is it silted in?
