Default My wifes first speck fishing trip.

Took my wife on her first speck fishing trip. We put in at Calcaseau Point and ran down to Long Island. After a drenched boat ride,(still having to use my dads 1980 Lowes 1648 flat bottom, because mine been in da shop since March of 2010) we started fishing and had a double right of the bat. She caught hers on lice shrimp and mine was on a glow and chart-ruse sand eel. The bite was real slow until we moved to the washout. First cast had one break my line at the boat. To add insult to injury it slowly swam off with my cork still visible. Sat in that one spot catching some decent eating size trout. We ended up keeping 15 trout. I hadn't kept trout in years because of the worms in them. After cleaning the fish didn't find the first worm. Looking forward to frying them up tomorrow hopefully after church.
