Default If you were the Captin

Ok so I am watching whale wars the other nite and the hippie tree huggers are trying to lose the Japense ship. So they send out 2 zodiac boats to do this, with flares, prop fowlers, etc. In the attempt to try and stop the ship they tore up one of there boats in not usable anymore. Note: this is -35 degree weather in the artic ocean in small boats with no supplies to survive but the close on there backs that I could see. In the mean time there mother ship gets out of radar range of the japense ship radar but the fail to reliaze that they are futher away from there small boats 20 miles 7 hrs away then they thought. So the captian of the mother ship tells them all to go behind the ice berg and wait for them to get there in 7 hrs. During there mission to stop the Japense boat and meet at there agreed on location everyone gets soaking wet and is in the first stages of hypothemina. One ship mate is not making any since after about an hour has hypothemina and they let him cover up and go to sleep. My question is, did the captian of either vessel make the proper decisions. Me personally I would have done things alot different. I know I shouldnt watch it but I just keep hoping the japense will sink one of tree huggers ships.
