What the Heck Is This??? Any ideas?

[Rookie Redfish]

OK. Went to Cal Point, out landing, took left straight to big intersection then left to big lake.
Over by the edge of intercoastal canal and inbetween where the red marker is.
was catching a few trout then all of a sudden, nothing.
I mean straight up silence.
Then, I started catching these weird silver snake looking fish back to back.
Must of caught 15 of them. So i moved to a new spot.
Threw them back of couse.
My question is What that Heck are these, I'm sure you guys have seen there before, but I didnt know what they were.

Any ideas? Seems like they ran everything else out the area!
