Capt. I'll have to agree with ya! Our marsh was covered with 2+ inches of sand after Rita/Ike. Kinda hard bottom...you can now walk the ponds. Pro drive last year would not get on plane within the ponds...had to fight it all the way out. We bought a new 24hp long tail this year...might be a little harder to work but will get us out of just about anything in our marsh.
I was thinking on running a big old mud boat through the trails but that hard bottom will wreck havoc on the shaft/prop. Perhaps going a little above idle speed and digging deep would do the trick but would take forever.....even thought about a marsh buggy w/ back hoe...$1,800+ a day...ouch!
