Im so tired of posting crappy reports! I only do it for the good of the site and hopes that it can help someone else figure these fish out. Its getting rather dissappointing. I am having a terrible year thus far. But thats what makes the good days so great.
Me and my lil bro hit butte larose canal sat afternoon before the Frog Fest. Water looked pretty good bout 1.5 to 2 ft visibility. Dont know the water temp. We threw jigs, senkos, frogs, cranks, brush hogs, trick worms, craws, spinnerbaits, and flukes. Caught one fish on the brush hog, had one come up and just nip at the fluke ( only keeper we saw all day). We talked to a guy out there said he has been doing pretty well on topwater the last few days. He says he caught an 8 lber on a torpedo, not sure how accurate that is, but dang thats a beast for henderson. Im headed up to Arkansas this week to fish Lake Greeson, hopefully i can break out of this slump and finally put sopme fish in the boat.
On a side note my dad hammered the bass in toledo saturday, caught 14 total with 6 fish over 3 lbs biggest at 5.5. All on baby brush hogs and flukes in 1-3 ft of water. He said on fri was all males and sat the females seemed to have moved up.
