Default Nautic star 2110 problems

I have owned this boat for one year and for the most part its been a very good ride. Throughout the year though i have been battling porpoising problems with this rig. I have tried lowering the motor and i have tried a different prop but the results are the same. The slighest bit of chop and the bow wants to start coming out the water. Today in the lake there was barely any wave activity at all and I had to keep the trim way down and also let off throttle just to maintain control. i have trim tabs on the boat, but honestly do not think they should be needed in chop thats under 1ft. I feel like i should be able to run that wot and trim up some as well. I cant be the only one out there with this problem. Any help is appreciated.
