Bet ya have never tried this...
Here are some pics of spearing smelts, the smelt shack, the spears, and a video of me spearing one (hopefully the video loads). In the winter after the ice forms (4 inches or better) on the salt water inlets we set up shacks to spear shiny little darts known as smelts. They are totally awesome tasting and the most fun you can have with your pants on
