Default Potential top 5 state record triple tail

Went 2-3 miles off Cameron Jetty's today targeting triple tail and ling and ended up having a very good day. We had 3 ling and 6 triple tail all over 10lb.s and were heading home when we decided to stop at one more rig and my first drop I saw a good fish in the rig but deep and came back again and jigged my gulp until I drew her out she swallowed my bait turned sideways and cruised away from the rig, after breaking off on a dozen other big trip's by them taking us in the structure, I figured let her get away from the rig before setting the hook. And it worked like a charm after I set the hook her head came up thrashing, that is when mine and everybod in the boats heart dropped. After a very long fight on 12lb. test I got her in and it is pending top 5 state record...
