Default Labor day at Jetties...

We (me and scatv) caught 14 fish at the Cameron jetties in the morning. The water was extremely clear on the west side of the jetties today-- that is where they caught. All were caught on gulp and sand eels. I kind of wish we would of had some live shrimp. The boat next to us was on a good bite until the shrimp ran out. After that, they slowed down to our pace. Live bait did make a difference today! The tide was outgoing in the a.m. We were finished at 10:30a.m. We caught one big nasty red, a 4 foot shark, and several small spanish mackeral also. While the water was moving, the fish were biting. I don't remember how that small flounder got in there!! lol At least we caught more fish than my brother-in-law today! He guaranteed he would catch more. He only caught 3 specks with 4 in the boat. Ouch!!!
