Got out the office early and headed to vbay with a buddy started fishing by noon, goofed around for redfish and the bay so calm decided to explore a little. Got on a good trout bite could see the fish busting shrimp on top. Tons of dinks and white trout. Probably caught 200 trout today. Got our limits by 4 and buddy kept a few big white trout. The water was fairly clear but wasn't very salty, but the fish are there. Birds were all over, gotta pick thru the little ones though. Wind picked up about 4 decided to not try for reds and came on in. Didn't see a lot of people fishing but lots of boat trailers, think everyone fished way south. I have a 15' with a 25 so that should tell about where we were fishing

Most all the fish were females that we kept today for whatever that is worth or whatever yall wanna make of that
Did have 3 older men in a bay boat completely stop when they saw us catching and wheeled around and stopped 75 yards and threw down the trolling motor. Got 25 yards from us and bite died down, they got a good earful. They said we must be from Lake Charles

and that we don't own this place

I was a little perturbed, asked them to either get in with us or let us switch boats so we can go catch some snapper!
