Default Big Lake 8-6-12

Headed out to enjoy the north winds on big lake this morning. Realized right from the start the forecast was wrong. Forecast was for 2-4 winds out of north. Winds were blowing 10-12 first thing in the morning and had to play hide and seek from the lightning and showers. Topwater bite was good until winds picked up, then resorted to fishing artificial and mullet along the channel. Tried several spots- couple here and a couple there. Ended up with a good little mess- not many numbers but some solid fish. Sure was nice being out there not fighting the weekend traffic. When the sun did shine it felt like 110 degrees. Water was green almost everywhere south. Had a good tide all morning.
