Big Lake Live Bait Question???

Hey fellas, I was hoping that at least a few of you Big Lake experts could answer a question for me. Besides buying live bait at Calc Point or Spicers , is there any place in the lake where you can regularly catch live shrimp, mullet, or croaker ? Also just to clarify I am not a Croaker Soaker (nothing wrong with that) I almost fish exclusively plastic . Thing is Wifey and I are on vacation next week and I was going to take her to BL because she has never been there. I am just looking for a possible backup plan. Any tips would be greatly appreciated..............And if you are ever on my end in VBAY or near SouthWest Pass feel free to shot me a line. I would be glad to help. Good luck to all !
