Well i got on the water right at 5 am hoping someone left a light on for me and that was a big negative. Drove around for a while and decided to call it quits. Fished the L'Auberge strip starting with topwater. About my third cast i had a "professional over run",while trying to pick it ouy i hear a loud smack! I get hooked up, drag is peeling i get excited. I finally get him to the boat and its a GAFTOP...... Talk about ticked off.....well switched to a purple and green deadly dudley jr and picked up three dink specks.sun was coming up so switched banks and worked the rocks. Nothing, drifted down and fished past the beach area.nothing again.fished the 2-10 flat and picked up some really small flounder and reds.decided to move amd fish bayou D'Inde.that was a short trip. Lost three lures in three casts so headed back by the 2-10 bridge managed two reds both 20"on black cocahoe with chart tail. Wasnt the best day but im learning new techniques and the area. After cleaning the fish i picked some okra to fry up with it. My lil man sure was happy. Cant wait till he cant help catch"and clean" them!
