Launched from Calcasieu Pt. at about 7AM just after the fog had let up.

Fished the north end of turner's till around 9AM. Not so much as a verifiable bite from anything worth keeping. Water was about 9" visibility max and seemingly lacking salt.

Headed south and found some birds working around the well heads. Started with two boats on the birds, ended up with 6 chasing them around so we broke off and headed back north. In 30-45 minutes or so of chasing birds, saw maybe 3-4 fish landed. Water was a little better.

Fished LNG for another hour or two. Kept a 18" black drum for the grill.

Ended the day around noon essentially skunked. Talked to 2 other people at the ramp who had the same luck -- multiple limits yesterday, couldn't buy a bite today.

Threw the kitchen sink at 'em - live shrimp under corks, straight line, plastics of various colors, spoons, etc...

Shoulda been there yesterday.
