I don't understand the general hateful attitude that has been portrayed by the left toward business and their profits. Their taxes or penalties only seem to show more of their distaste for those of us who risk it all to be in business. If I can't make money owning my business, what the heck is the point in stressing myself out to keep the doors open? I guess I'm one of the "more fortunate."

It is not a hate it is a mind set of government being entitled to more of your earned profits for it to spend.
Redistribution at its finest. Tax those who earn and distribute to those who feel entitled.
Redistribution stance is I will tax you and you will desire to still stay in business.
