Default Closed the Deal ?

Very first morning , I had ranged all possible shooting spots. I rehearsed them all for the first two hours in the stand going over every possible scenario. Then at 8 50 am I turn to see a big buck had just crossed the dry creek bed and was about 80 yds out . Then I realized this was not any buck . It was THE buck. I had seen him once last year in week of hunting . He is why I had passed several good deer . All year I had been hoping to see him again when I returned. He then turned on a trail that would bring him at 28 yds . I waited as he quickly closed the distance. I drew hit anchor and stopped him with a bleat. This was a dead deer... I released the arrow and watched what seemed to be one frame per second . With each frame the buck went lower as the arrow continued its flight. I helplessly watched as the green and white fetching passed within a shafts width over him !!! Stunned I stood there.. Knowing I had done everything right and it was over . The first hunt of the first morning It was over . I thought I should just pack up an start the 981 mile journey home . But my buddy trying to console me said " You will get another chance , you still have a week". Yeah right .
Two days later I moved to an island where I had hung another stand . After a couple of hours I was second guessing this spot I had picked . It was tight and had only seen one deer . Shortly thereafter I turned and there he stood , THE buck! He then walked a trail to 19 yds broadside , I stopped him again. This time he dropped ... 30 yds after the Thunderhead passed thru his heart !! I can not describe the emotion that I felt. Thanked my God over an over and may have even shed a tear .. And actually you will see his back , how close it was two days earlier.
