Default Thanksgiving trip. Just the fellas!!

Was going to Boeuf WMA. But Thursday morning discovered My hunting area was closed. So made a quick decision to goto St. Francisville. Saw lots of deer Thursday afternoon while scouting for some spots to put our stands. Mostly Does, but we didn't care. Dad hasn't harvested a deer since I was a kid and My brother never has ,so they were really excited with what we saw. Set up for the last 2 hours of shooting time and didn't see a Damn thing. 5 min before shooting time was over a shot rang out from My brothers direction!! Couldn't find any blood, bone, or hair at the point of the shot. He was using a 30.06 so I had some doubt. We searched for 2 hours and found nothing.

Of course, didn't see another deer all weekend. Decided to come home early. Those hills packing a stand and rifle just about killed My old Man......no heat or bathroom for 4 days just about killed me.

Fun trip! Just wish we'd been successful.
