Hit the water with Gilmo and another buddy at about midnight, wind blowing real solid from the east and the water was up over the wharf (even higher when we left.
Nothing for the first hour and a half except for a red. Then a switch flipped and we started catching a ton of white trout with a few specks mixed in. We missed a bunch of fish, so I know we would have had more specks mixed in. Bite and presentation seemed like it changed every 5 minutes, which was interesting. Dropped a couple flounder at the boat and landed 2, the first one was nice but number two was the biggest I've seen (haven't targeted flounder much, so it may not be all that big???).
Back to the launch before day break, with only a couple of boats putting in.
Didn't venture far from Quintana, was nice out and my first night trip definitely won't be the last - no way anyone can come jump you because they'll never see the rod bend!
