Default Tundra Chip/Programmer Help

Hey Guys.. I'm in need of some advice.. And (I KNOW THIS IS THE SITE FOR IT)!!!

I have a 2007 tundra 5.7L with a 3 inch lift .. I purchased the truck this way 2 yrs ago.. with 38,600 miles for 18K..

I was running some 295 70R 18 Nitto Terra Graps on it... Gas mileage was about 14 MPG.

Well It was time to get a new set of tires... SO I asked around and went with the Toyo All-Terrain Open Country 2's. But I downsides to 285 65 18's.

I'm running 52# of air in them. These are 10 ply and call for 80# max.

My mileage has gone down a little, about 275 for a tank... I'm not getting 300 miles to a tank for gas.

So I'm thinking about getting a chip/programmer.

Question:: Will this help with gas mileage??? When I pull my Triton I'm getting 8 miles a gallon or about 200 miles a tank..

Anybody have a chip on a tundra??? What brand??? Can u install your self???

I was speaking to a few people at work and they are using chips on their F250's gas and diesel trucks.. And they say they work..

Other than the crappy gad mileage, I "like" my Tundra.

Please advise.. Im sure we have a few younger guys who are running lifts and bigger tires..

Thanks in Advance..

Gunner
