Weirs Taboo

I am ready to take a little razing over this but I see people post on here like fishing the wiers is such a bad thing. First if I know fish are in a place and just want to go bend a pole and have fun why not. Second I see guides at the weirs all the time but hear all these guides say they don't fish the weirs.

I like to go work the reefs also and see where else I can catch fish but have to say I fish the wiers and am proud of it. And from all the boat traffic I see so do alot of people. So what's the big deal.
