A lot of people just associate the weirs with dumb fisherman / Anchor chunkers and inconsiderate fellers. It's kinda like the the cove in VB when it's on. They have so many fish if people would be considerate come in on trolling motor and set up correctly everyone could work them over but they don't. They come in on the big motor radio cranked throw the anchor and fish for 10 mins then motor out full clip. Most people get tired of that crap my self included so we just don't mess with them. Now if I catch them right on a weekday and the wife or a friend that doesn't get out much wants to bang the reds and I'm not on them other places I will hit them up but if you can put up with that mess and you love to catch reds more power to you. Nothing wrong with fishing them at all. People just tend to think you can't fish if you have to go there but that's not the case all the time. More times than not you ran over limits of reds on the east bank just to get to the anchor chunking rodeo.
