Default Sounds of Change

Well, I have been hoping these days would take their time getting here. However, after the last 2 mornings I have to concede it is here. While sitting out on the deck the last 2 mornings looking out over the coastal prairie the sound of change was in the air. The boisterous cackling of the sandhill cranes carried for miles, as some foraged in the prairie while others soared high above. The silence was also broken by the call of speckled bellies in flight searching for a place to light. The sounds of sporadic gunshots echoed for great distances, while the 10 gauges bellowed out like a sonic booms. Oh let's not forget the sounds of the great hunters chasing around the priaries as the annoying sounds from the airboats buzzed through the air for amazingly great distances. They bounce back and forth thru the prairie like some fisherman we know chasing birds in the bay.

For the next couple of months it'll be airboats buzzing in my dreams, as they wake me at 2-3 every morning with their annoying drone. But thats OK!!! However, if them boys set up across the bank from me, I may have to spoil their fun. I mean come on, you got over 2000 acres to hunt, so there is no need to set-up 100 yards from my house!!!

On the brightside of things............................I get to look forward to much less crowded bays when the chance for me to go arises.
In addition, the cooler weather should load the river up with specs, after the run off dissipates makinf for excellent night fishing. So, when the North wind ceases to blow, you can bet i'll be making a few trips to the end of the pier.
