We closed the lodge for the last 3 days in honor of birth of our country on July 4, 1776 when we adopted the declaration of independence. After several celebrations, fireworks, boiled crabs and shrimp we are ready to return to the lake. The week before the 4th produced many large catches of speckled trout and redfish. If June is any indication of the catching don’t miss this month. July and August are months that we normally catch big numbers of fish here on the lake.
