Default Caught this one Friday

Yes, I fish in Texas. This fish came from East Matagorda but the same methods that HR&G, Bruce Baugh, and John Havens are using in Big Lake. Walking the dog with a Mirrolure FatBoy (Pearl Black Back) in 18" of water mud bottom. Weather was stable between fronts and there was a weak outgoing tide, south wind.

Funny thing was that I thought it was a redfish. I catch reds all the time in my winter trout holes. It took line almost immediately and she struck close to the end of my cast too. She never came to the surface, didn't head shake, didn't tail walk, just a burned line off my reel and make a big circle around me taking more line every once in a while. My Buddy Mac Jank was ready with the boga and even video'd the landing. Was fun stuff,... I shook and was pumped for an hour even though it's not my biggest... never get tired of them that's for sure.
