Any one been watching this show on Natgeo?? As a Recreational GoM angler it makes me sick to see this show.. If this show doesn't make you get involved in the Red Snap Mis-management issue.. Nothing will..

The show follow's the owner of Katie's Seafood. A guy named Buddy G. He is only one share holder.. ONE episode; one of his captains came in with 11k # of red snaps. The capt didn't ice them down right away.. So they were a little off colored. Still good.

He didn't like the color, and didn't want to send them to HEB stores.

He told he son to get rid of them.. They were sold for DOG FOOD... DAMN.... DOG FOOD..

Another episode he son who is a captain, was long-lining grouper.. Long line snapped in the rocks he was fishing as he was retrieving his gear.. He drops downs and drags a large hook and chain on the bottom to recover his equipment.. It got snagged and broke off.

Lost miles and miles of baited hooks. I'm sure with lots of grouper on them also...

And the commercial peps are saying the REC.'s are raping the resource.

Another episode the owner( Buddy) went into federal waters looking for rec.'s peps, fishing snaps in federal waters. He's the red snap po po too...

We all should write letters to our elected officials about this show and to Natgeo.
