Default New Ulterra - mount with or without quick release bracket?

I'm seeking some advice based on you guys' experience regarding the mounting of a new minn Kota Ulterra on a bay boat (21' Nauticstar)
I'm replacing my existing manual trolling motor that is direct mounted with a new Ulterra and am thinking of utilizing the quick release bracket I guess simply for the ability to remove the tm when I travel far (highway) and sleep over at say a motel somewhere.
My main concern is that the quick release bracket may not contribute to as solid of a mounting condition especially on a choppy water day, ... does the bracket rattle or any other such?
Any helpful experience insights are appreciated. Thanks,
