Default Lafayette kayaking fishing tourny today

It was a rough one today in the marsh around Chauvin. At launch time, the temp was about 36 and the wind was NNW at 18-21. With no more than 2 foot of water anywhere, the fish were few and far between Two of the team members picked up two fish at 645 and that was it. We fished the rest of the day and got nothing else.

Other than that, there was no action

21 kayaks entered, 4 weighed fish. Team Redstick took second and third. Not bad for the conditions.

Friday, we fished and had great success with the marshworks purple and chartreuse bayou thumper spinners.

I cant wait for the weather to calm down so i can try out these marshworks buzz baits that we just got.
