Went to destin this year...Sanabell awhile back...panama numerous times.

Destin was my favorite. Hawse, rent you a kayak and go fish in the mornings or, go snorkel on by the last bouy (about 15 feet deep) and get sand dollars

You can only be bored on a cruise if you want to be bored.
there is something to do dang near 24 hrs a day.

Our bar bill was $1200 for 8 days.
From what i remember
,We had a blast.[/QUOTE]

x2...I finda way to run up a 1k+ beer tab every cruise...even if i sneak on a handle of whisky, wine, and case of beer! But I love them b/c its pure relaxation! I've been on vacations where.. when i return ....I feel like I need a vacation...lol! Not on cruises....no planning and what not....just do at will...it's all there for you..waiting. I'd peep royal carribean...food is better.

August. Head up to the Black Hills in South Dakota. Mount Rushmore, Deadwood, Crazy Horse, the Badlands. Of course you can also hit Sturgis for the rally. Great time of year to go, not too cold yet! You can hit some streams for trout -rainbow, not speckled. It would be quite an adventure.

I hit all them spots in '89. I was on the road for 2 1/2 weeks.

If ya'll go to Florida go to St. Andrews State Park near Panama to fish. Its pretty awesome. They have some big rock jettis with tons of bait fish and bluefish, and a whole bunch of other fish that i couldn't identify... but i was WAXING them on some sabiki rigs with a sand eel tied to the end to weigh it down. I did see some small tarpon and 16-17in redfish, but couldn't get them to bite, but i didn't try that hard. I was having too much fun pulling in two or three bluefish at a time. Make sure to bring pliers and extra sabiki rigs, they tear them up pretty fast.

If you ever get bored look at it on Google map. You can see the jettis i was talking about. Also a good place to go snarkling, just watch out for stingrays.. i saw a few of them

Federal health officials are saying a virus caused more than 400 people to get sick on a cruise ship that left South Carolina for the Caribbean earlier this month.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention spokesman Jay Dempsey said Thursday samples taken from ill passengers have confirmed the norovirus. The main symptoms are upset stomachs, vomiting and diarrhea.
Norovirus is often to blame when symptoms sweep closed quarters like those on cruise ships.
The Celebrity Mercury is due in Charleston early Friday. Celebrity Cruise spokeswoman Cynthia Martinez says 413 of the more than 2,600 passengers and crew became ill.
The illness reached its peak early this week. Martinez says 48 guests are in isolation as the ship heads back to Charleston.

Seagrove is another good one, but the bay behind Orange Beach/Perdido is real good.
Perdido Pass has a pretty good current going out too. Fish under the bridge. They catch Mangrove Snapper and Flounder in there. You see Dolphin throwing Flounder up in the air and cutting them in half.
Everytime we go, we bring the boat.

AND, Florabama is on Perdido Key.

Perdido Pass is all the way to the left.

I think we paid something like $15 for a 5 day fishing license.

Jordan,

If you decide to go to The Orange Beach/Perdido Area, let me know. We have a house there and have a good number of pro staffers in the area. I'll let you know where they're biting.
