hittin me hard there without warning...
the money is in the lens...for taking good action shoots on ducks you are going need a lens that has a 2.8 apeture or smaller, which gets expensive

Alright after comparing the XSI and XS, i reallly like the XSI. But with one downside..the XS has unlimited JPEG..the XSI has only "X" amount of JPEG images..
From what i've researched, and undertood about it.. i dont think i like that too much..2ndamendment, does this affect yall much?

JPEG limits were not that important to us. We purchase large volume SD cards to store our pictures. The IS lens was a must have feature for us. When taking action shots you move with the action. This movement causes blur effect at times. The IS feature helps eliminate this blur.

May i ask, with yalls action shots, what do yall shoot wildlife, sports, etc?

My mom has a Manolta Dimage 2? which also needs the Larger Volume SD cards...hers is 7 fps. She said I should check with a buddy that runs a pawn shop, for lens. One of our friends got a good deal on one there.

Action shots---sports, wildlife, kids riding bicycles--4 wheeler--water slides--diving--swim strokes etc. etc. etc.

Pawn shops, ebay and others are good places to search.

Lens---we have a 35mm cannon EOS body with a EF 35-105mm lens that we use on our digital XSI for everyday shots also.

Fool, if you get a IS lens you can catch that shot of your Corky flying through the air and the sea gull grabbing it in mid air.

Might shoot Will a email asking what kind of lens he uses for majority of those shots.

So i guess i'll end up getting the XSI, and searching for a good lens..i'll end up referring back to yall on what lens to look for.
