Bob, I make them grapple style anchors. Get ya a piece of 3" casing about 18" long and some of those small galvenized bars used for chain length fence and cut them about 10" and weld it to the casing and fill the casing with concrete and paint it black with rust-o-leum paint. I take a piece of exhaust hanger and weld it to the other end and get me a shackle and about 4' of galvenized chain. That's my back-up anchor. Saves u from spending $90 on one at academy. You can bend the galvenized grapples easier than the aluminum

Damn Jordie, you would need to be "Fred Sanford" to come up with the materials for that anchor. Can't you just use some "cinder blocks"
