Wells never seem to lose prime on warm sunny days!

Ive had well water pretty much my whole life and the only time you lose prime is if you run the water when the electricity is off or you dont run the water when your pipes could freeze

Yea...it did not lose prime very often but as was previously stated, it never happens on a warm sunny day....And "Yes" Meaux you are correct about turning on the water when the electricity was out.

And that can happen very easily. How many times have you walked through your home when the electricity is out and walk into a room and flip the light switch.......It's just a habit. Same with turning the faucet on. As a kid, I always blamed my brother....

Yeh, I did too, but as Blue said, in a house full of people someone was bound to forget and turn on a faucet. Add a bad foot valve and priming it was a pain. I'm 41 years old, had water well for 34 of those years, and community water the last 7, life is good!
