I don't believe limo tint should be legal, but I have 20% film all the way around and I can see out fine at night. I had a car with 5% once and it was ridiculous to see out of at night.
I understand the desire for LEO safety, which is why if I get pulled over I roll my windows down, keep my hands where they can see them, and I turn on the dome light if it's night time. Tinted windows don't keep me from doing any of that.
