Jay I agree with you on the opitimax. Better hole shot cause more low end torque and fuel mileage is close on cruise speed but not quiet as good on full throttle.

If everything goes right I will get the Z21 just not sold in that merc yet?? I don't need speed I just want a good boat with room to fish 3 and take chop good!!!

speed is good for long runs in the ship channel. Yamaha f150 is good motor, but I think you might be wishing for more power once settled into it.

without a doubt, a 200 or 225 will get you a lot better cruise speed not to mention top end. Plus it doesn't have to work as hard as a 150 which will improve mileage. A pad boat like that will not perform right without enough horsepower to lift the nose up.

in some of the pictures i saw some plastic lids and plastic cleats, not sure why they wouldn't just use glass lids and stainless.

one thing about the speckle paint finish inside is that it's much easier to keep looking clean
