I just had to get a landline hooked up at my new house cause cell reception is so bad. Been almost 10 years since I had one.

Default Someone mentioned fax machine...

I've been using an email fax service (myfax.com) for years and I like it so much better than a normal fax machine. Your faxes come in as emails. Also, no more junk faxes that waste all of your paper!

Brother in law lives at the end of Trappy Rd. in Carencro and has terrible cell phone service back there. It ain't far from I-49, but no service. You have to go outside, get on a ladder and climb on the peak of the roof to get decent cell service.

Yep. My new house is just a few miles south of there as the crow flies on same side of I49.

If you switch to Verizon in this area you will want AT&T back fast. Verizon is garbage around here. It only works in the city of Lafayette. Once you head north its out.
