Also, does anyone have any experience with the YF 24 with the 300 Yammy? Performance numbers? Fuel burn?

Try pinging Reelinlife at yellowfinonly.com - he has a 24 with a new 300 4.2 Yam.

Thanks skeeter I may try that. And if they make a 300 SHO I would definitely be interested in that as well. I've been very impressed with the 250 SHO so far

Mark Hughes with Hackberry Charters has his 24 YF with a Verado 300 for sale here on the site. He has been very happy with it and is ordering another one with the Verado 300 Pro. I believe he has had his boat up to around 63. Another one of my neighbors in Hackberry has a white one with a Verado. I do not know anyone that has one with a Yam but like you I would love to hear some details about it.

Regarding my Verado, I just think it is too heavy for a Haynie (even though some folks have them including me) but from a weight perspective it is probably fine on the YF or a Shearwater.

yeah I've heard the verado is too heavy for Haynie.

I've heard good things about the Yammy on the YF. Supposedly making a new 300 SHO with 25" shaft to put on them that will make that boat move!

Here you go on the 4.2 L Offshore Yam. Same block as the SHO, different LU.
