My dog chewed up the fence a few times, but never got out.
He did get out by chewing thru the aluminum tie wire that holds the fence bottom to the pipe. We would let our dog out the kennel during the day and put him in at night. We had a fan by the back door and during the summer, he layed up in front of the fan all day long. If we turned it off, he would dig up the back yard.
