A hydrofoil is nothing more than a bandaid for a prop issue. A jack plate will not help much either. It is all about the prop. The lazer props have ALOT of rake therefore making it harder for the motor to spin the prop on holeshot. On another note,slow holeshot and 5,900 rpm's don't sound right. Usually when you have a bad holeshot you would be down on rpm's. Regardless I would get another prop instead of the lazer. Call the prop shop in lafayette 235-5761 I used to work there,good people they will get you fixed up.
