I did that on a 200 Merc. after the oil pump went out while I was 34 miles offshore.
Sent to a friends dad who worked for Gene's, and he took the oil injection system off the engine and I just mixed the oil in the gas tank. Made me feel a lot more better knowing that won't happen again.
