It was extraordinarily grim looking in Dulac. I counted four big ducks and two teal Tuesday afternoon in the marsh. Rode through some ponds and trails and the feed looks good. I don't recall see anything Wed morning riding Grand Caillou south of the Bourg property, but I wasn't really paying attention.

Just read the report from the survey by Larry Reynolds and he did not give numbers but said it was "very disappointing". Lets hope he didn't fly the best spots.

Had a great youth hunt last weekend. My boys educated a bunch of birds to the tune of two boxes of shells on Saturday and my oldest killed a limit on Sunday. We were in the Jb area. The reports I heard from holly beach all the way to JB were all good including up in Hackberry.

With this front, a day can make a huge difference in migration of birds. They can easily double and triple up in south La. over night. With this big North wind for 2 days this is gonna help a bunch. I'm optimistic as a LSU fan right now! Good luck and fair shootin'.

Friday before teal season started that's what we were all hoping/saying, "Maybe they'll show up overnight". Didn't happen.

But I hope you're right. I need some optimism in my life!

Jut went put some decoys out in our blind in morse. Had some ducks already in the hole. Farther towards sunset saw piles of 30-40 big ducks flying over us almost nonstop and they were going down all around us. Saw some geese too. This made my confidence go up a little.

Why would they? They got all the food they want to eat in your marsh. And all the marshes around are fresh. I know the front marsh is holding so you should stay covered up

Visited lease yesterday to set out decoys and I only saw about 200-300 ducks. I think that big North wind below them South towards the marsh. On SAT, it will be like an East wind which should help us.
