Like Paul said they are on their annual run, it should all be over around Thanksgiving. Most of the boat traffic is south of big lake on the channel. There are several great spots right now but basically find a pocket or cut in the marsh or maybe a shell bank and bring some gulp with you and a 1/4 jig head and you should be in good shape. I fish for trout most of the year but I love eating flounder so even though this is the best trout bite of the year I focus on flounder for the annual run to try and fill the freezer. Of course when I have time (which is rare, most of my trips are short so I can get back to a computer for my job) I make a trout run once we have our flounder.
