finally took out the duck calls..hit a few notes...they're workin' fine. Rounded up shells for my son along with a few boxes of 3" 20gauge for me....shootin just the decoying birds! Nothing like that first cup of coffee sat morn at 3:30 am., (can't sleep well before opening!) pull out the camp scrap book lookin' over the last 25 years of opening weekend with the same group of dear friends. Funny to watch the kids grow up from the early years w/ 410s to now gettin married and doing most of the camp work! Life does go by very fast but these few days each year mark a wonderful passage of traditions from one generation to another.....

sounds like a great tradition. Duck hunting is a wonderful thing, and for most it's not about killing ducks just doing exactly what you described.
