I have a crappy low quality one of about 5 of us at the Ferry. If you want it, let me know. As well as a couple tail gate trophy pics.

^^ this. I don't trust then bass turds. Keep it quiet and keep catchin. We don't need wlf up in our chedda. They'll prolly start having a season on em and close it when the fishing gets good.

There were A LOT of flounder caught this year in the estuary. It was a great year to catch them. The wade fisherman, majority from TX, were ridiculous. Most waders though that because he/she caught fish in that spot yesterday, it was their spot forever. It doesn't matter if you had an anchor there and were fishing. I think the more alarming statistic is what the shrimp boats and butterfly barges were doing to flounder. On the hard fronts, some boats were pulling out 2500 pounds in a few hours! Imagine that for a month and a half. Hard to say what's gonna happen, but time will tell if limits need changing.

This is easy...your in a boat they are wading...HUMMM I can think of 10000 ways for them not to catch a single fish the rest of the day ![]() That is why I did not go down there one signal time

Im sure they will try to put anothor limit on something...I mean were about to get as bad as Texas.....Its just plan dumb..
You have one bank in the ship channel that is catching..I promise they did not touch but only 5% of the flounder if that ....the channel is 30ft deep and most of them run on the bottom or in deeper waters like 13-20ft in depth BUT WHAT DO I KNOW...HELL JUST CLOSE IT DOWN FROM Sept-June

Not working on flounder limits. He wanted it for his website.
However, on another note, all them waders that were parking at the ferry landing, crossing private property to get to the spot North of the ferry, might not happen next year. Land owners were talked to about these folks. This has nothing to do with the La. Sea Grant. I agree with Boatdriver. I know shrimpers who sell 1500 lbs. per night. That is what is marketable. Not the ones that are too small to sell. But this has been going on for years and has not put a dent in the Flounder population, YET. |

Land owners can kill the park and wade fishing. In Cameron parish you should not be crossing land without permission.

Don't forget you were a land fisherman once too. Probably skipped school a few times to fish on the bank. I have a boat but I fished on the banks/beaches for yrs it was always hard to find good places. I was also respectful of other peoples property even if I crossed without permission. Let the waders have there day. They don't get many opportunities to catch and when they do other waders,WLF, and land owners try to stop them.
