Those are nice big for sure......I like the Doxa as well.

The "rules" have changed in the last three years and discounts have changed and much more regulated.....Kinda like Shimano and finding a "deal"

St. Maarteen and St.Thomas are my favorite place to shop watches.

Last year in St. Thomas I had three Pateks out that were each over a 100K !!!! I told the guy there is now way for a sale on these and he just wanted to talk watches with a guy other than the standard stuff!!

My wife bought me a Seiko Kinetic for my 32nd birthday in 1999 and its the first watch to last for more than two years on my arm. It's probably only a few hundred dollars, but it is the highest quality watch I've owned with excellent durability. She bought me a nicer watch a couple of years ago, but that one's sitting in the safe waiting for this one to break. I think it will be a long wait.

My uncle is visting from out of town. He is a watch junkie. Last night we were drinking and he pulled out his collection to show me. I remembered this thread and thought some of you might appreciate this picture.

The matching pair on the left is the millenium edition. He got a matching set for him and his wife with matching serial numbers. According to him there were only 25 pairs produced. he said there is 5k worth of diamonds around the outside of the face.

Can't go wrong with either watch.

And I can tell you from personal experience, that the only downside to owning an antique watch, is if you're the original owner

One of the big dogs here at work has a watch collection, and you should here some of these prices he pays. His wife told me he has some of them in glass cases just for show.

I've been buying G-Shocks the last few weeks. They are all the "military" matte finishes. The 3 I have now are the 6900 series in black, desert sand and OD green colors. I have a Riseman and a Mudman in matte black on the way in the mail.
