Fool is into catching bats......
Chipmunks are cool pets. They are entertainers! Used to have 2. Wish I had a dozen more.

Take an 8' piece of 6" PVC.
Cap one end.
Drill a few holes just above the cap in the pipe section.
Tie up to a tree with the open end up.
Put a few cracked pecans and/or peanuts in the pipe.
When the squirrel gets in and can't get out, put a cap
on the other end till you can get it in a cage.

Damned Ray, I like your trap better. Quick and easy. I'd like to know how high they could jump straight up so the tube could be cut back some, but I'd have to say it would be over 4 foot at least. I guess that's another reason to order a billy stixx rod... you can use the pvc tube as a flying squirrel trap.

i had one as a pet for almost 5 years ....we nursed him from a bottle and he pretty much ran loose in the house, would sleep in your pocket and was my alarm clock throughout highschool. by far, the COOLEST pet we've ever had and was very protective over my mom. you messed with her, he would eat your *** up!!! I've caught a hundred probably with only a sock and some tree climbing gear. The ONLY way to tame one is to get a baby that hasnt opened its eyes yet...if they've seen their mama, you can forget taming it from my experience. If you get one, remember to keep your toilet lid down all the time.....thats how mine met his end.

Never had a squirrel but nutria and possum. Nutria was very neat. Raised from a baby as well. Would hang around in the back yard and follow you around like a puppy.
