Default Hopedale/Breton Sound Report

Just returned from a couple days of fishing down in Hopedale. Fished Wednesday afternoon with mixed results...a few small trout and a couple of nice redfish...

Thursday morning was beautiful with slick seas. Ran out to Comfort Island and immediately started catching trout...Myself and two friends kept forty-seven trout...nothing real big, but nice "poboy" trout. Left Comfort in search of bigger trout with not much success, but did manage two more good eating size redfish and one flouder.

After that, we went cruising crab pots and located some triple-tail. Managed to catch two out of the three we found. Both of the caught fish were four-five pounds. The third was bigger but spooked him and couldn't get him to eat. All in all, it was a great day on the water.

I wish I could tell you the trout were caught on plastics, but I'd be lying to you.

Good luck to everyone hitting the water! LL

Yeah, Meaux...It really seems to get good in the summertime. You know the one thing that kinda sucks is since they dammed the MRGO, it's such a long run to get to the places we like to fish. But I guess that's the price you gotta pay!
